This was my first reading and reiki session so I was a bit nervous, but Renee was very inviting and immediately put me at ease once I stepped into her space. I booked an appointment with Renee for my birthday last month. This was my first reiki and reading experience and it was wonderful. From the moment I walked in I felt very comfortable. Her space is inviting and she is very welcoming and puts you at ease. Right as our session started she told me things that were exactly in line with what I was seeking. I even got emotional. We wound up continuing the reading through the 90 minutes I had booked and the actual reiki healing was brief since the reading itself was going so strong, so I would love to go back to experience a longer reiki session. I am at a place in my life where I am open to this kind of guidance and listening to what is being brought forward to me, and my experience with Renee was just what I was hoping for. Renée is the most amazing healer. She offers both distant and in-person with safety precautions and takes extra care to inform you of the steps she takes. She did an amazing Reiki healing and a reading for me. Both were extremely powerful, healing, and accurate. As I had more life concerns I wanted to focus on this and we addressed all of my concerns and inquiries I had about my path. I have seen Renee twice now, I absolutely love her. The first time was just a reading in which helped bring some closer with my Mom. She was so spot on about everything she told me. I saw Alison in December of 2019. I had been having terrible nightmares for decades. I have seen therapists, psychiatrists and group therapy and nothing would stop these dreams. Alison told me that my mother was taking up half of my soul; it didn’t surprise me, sh was very controlling in life. Alison nicely asked her to leave. My mother fought back a little, but finally agreed to leave. I haven’t had any of the reoccurring dreams since that day of the reading. I still have “anxious ” and upsetting dreams, but the nightmares that had haunted me are gone. Alison was wonderful. She answered all my questions and even allowed the session to go on until I was done with my questions. I can’t reccomend her enough. I will be coming back.

I love The Eye! Lots of variety in crystals, jewelry, books, incense, and other spiritual aspects. The staff was very friendly as well. Prices are very good (tumbles shown were between $2-$5 each and the tower was $25, I believe).

It sounds crazy, but this place changed my life. Seriously. I was going back and forth trying to make a huge decision and I felt completely lost. I decided I needed a way to leave it up to the universe, so, I ditched my pros and cons list and booked an appointment for a psychic reading. When it was time for my appointment I was ushered into a back room to meet my tarot specialist and she was amazing. I can’t imagine a better introduction to tarot. When we started the reading I wasn’t sure how much information I wanted to provide about my situation (skeptic behavior). As the reading progressed I realized it was spot on about my energy and weirdly specific about timelines. Eventually, I remembered I was on a mission so I got serious, embraced the process, and decided to believe in whatever the reading was going to tell me. My tarot person spent extra time pulling cards specific to my situation and explaining them. She showed me two paths – and I chose. Since then I followed my path and the reading did not lie. It has been SO good. Thank you, tarot person!! I left Eye of Horus feeling like a new me. My advice is: if you’re new to tarot or palm reading or whatever – embrace the process and do it here. It might change your entire life. At the very least you can browse cool manifestation books or buy a crystal.

I got a tarot + palm reading from Brian and I’m very satisfied overall. He knows both of these arts well and explained the cards and lines to me on a level I could understand. I always appreciate stores like this and like to support them when I travel. I stopped in to check it out the the last time I was visiting Minneapolis. It’s a small shop with an assortment of stones (mostly tumbled), figurines, incense, books, jewelry, sprays, oils, and tarot decks. They also seemed to have a reader on-site available for walk-ins.I found a variety of things I liked, including their Palo Santo/Cedar/Sage smudge spray which surprised me by how excellent of a blend it is. It’s something I would specifically stop to pick up in the store when I visit Minneapolis, or order to have it mailed to me. The customer service was pleasant but it seems their employees aren’t all on the same page. When I checked out, I was told about their discount program. It was explained to me that if I spent $250 (if I remember correctly) that I would get a gift certificate for $25 back. I was told I was within like $25 of that amount. I decided that I would try to come back before I left and see if I could pick something else out.I went back a couple days later when I realized I needed a gift for a friend and thought that the smudge spray would be a great option. I picked up a few more things as well. I thought I would be well over the amount.When I checked out the different sales person totaled it up and announced that was like $10 away from my reward. How is that possible, I asked? I’m buying like $50 worth of stuff? She explained that the maybe $40 of incense I purchased a couple of days before was not included in the frequent buyer program. When I told her that the other sales person did not say that and had included it in my total, she just apologized and shrugged.So, I had to buy more to get the gift certificate. I had spent over $250 in the store in like 48 hours and suddenly the incense was not included. That didn’t sit well with me. If this were my business, I’d have honored it on behalf of the employee who made the mistake.I’d go back to the store, but probably only for the spray.

As far as I’m concerned, this is the best place in the Twin Cities to get herbs and a sage stick. Although I don’t get here as often as I’d like, the trip to Minneapolis Uptown neighborhood are some of my favs, despite the area dramatically changing over the years. However, once a year I do a ritual cleaning of my house and make my way here to purchase safe and other delicious smelling herbs to cleanse and purify my creative art studio. I find the staff to be knowledgeable and informative. They answer questions with pretentious attitudes and make me feel safe to explore and ask questions. This is a great quality to have when your business is centered around ethereal and magikal practices. Nevertheless, I always learn something new and come out smelling refreshed from what ever incense they were burning. I love the diversity and the energy this store gives. It’s definitely a must explore spot in Uptown.

I really enjoyed this metaphysical store in the Lyn Lake neighborhood. The owner and employee were friendly and helpful without crowding my space. I found several beautiful crystals and some awesome van van oil. The van van oil was only $9.99! I purchased the same oil at a different shop for $45. They had a great selection of books and divination cards. Lots of candles, candle holders, incense and sage. Each crystal has a nice little educational print out that you can take along with you. There was someone there doing tarot readings in the back. They pretty much have everything. The vibe in the store was relaxing. I would definitely go back.

I have been experiencing this restlessness for some time. A co worker of mine talked about working with someone who reads tarot cards. I spent one Sunday night searching for someone. I was drawn to contact Tammy and I am so very glad that I did.She was right on the money with so many things. She commented that what the cards laid out and how I presented were very different. She is right. I have a tough exterior but what was going on internally was something very different. I was so impressed.There were things that she could not possibly know about me, things that I have not talked about in 10-15 years. I was impressed enough to move forward with other services with her. I have never considered a life coach before. I discovered this place when I started my spiritual journey. I didn’t want to order sage online because I wanted to know how it smelled first. The two times I’ve visited this place, everyone was very helpful and friendly. And PATIENT! They have a variety of smudge sticks, books, stones, crystals, incense, salt rocks, candles and jewelry. Everything is simple and right to the point. I’m very minimalistic (cheap) about the things I buy for my journey, and this place fits my budget.Parking is great and there’s never more than like 3 people inside.

This store is extremely uncomfortable!! You are literally followed and watched for the entire duration of your visit . They employ staff with no metaphysical knowledge or magical lineage; yet they insist on shoving meaningless information down your throat until u either decide to purchase something or leave . completely ruined my whole vibe upon entering this store !

Not only has Eric deleted the entire series of lies he said about me, he’s now accusing me of altering the photo of the item I purchased in this store. Eric, I shined a light on it to show detail of the piece so the geologists I consulted could get a good look at it. I respect myself and value my integrity far too much to bother lying about a rock I bought in a store. How rotten it is to accuse a customer of such a thing.And “tired of apologizing”? I still haven’t received a single apology. Just lots of trying to make me look bad. It’s astonishing.This guy will do anything to avoid taking responsibility, it seems. Based on how I’ve been treated, I revise my original rating I would advise people to consider supporting another store.

I’m new to all of this and came to this location to explore.Immediately when I walked in me and my sister both felt relief and at peace. Amanda welcomed us and helped us around the store.I felt no pressure or rush which was amazing and will definitely be coming back!

A great little gem, energy healing and spiritual shop on Minnehaha. They have a variety of gemstones and healing energy crystals, essential oils, singing bowls, books, tarot cards, greeting cards, and a variety of other mystical wares. This is a great spot to find a gift, or your next piece to add to your personal collection. The owners are really helpful and friendly, and they also offer a variety of classes and psychic readings. There is also an adorable miniature chihuahua Peanut, who is the store mascot; greeting all the customers and being generally adorable and friendly. I would highly recommend a stop at Awakenings when your soul is ready to explore the world of energy healing and spirituality.

This yelp review is a week overdue! I came into this store to just browse last Friday and the owner had such a great personality. We chatted it up the entire time I was there and I didn’t mind it one bit! The store was bright, welcoming , had everything from candles to crystals, books, tarot/oracle cards, sage, essential oils, the list goes on . Did I mentioned that the store is reasonably priced?! Check this place out, you won’t regret it.

this is easily the best metaphysical shop in the twin cities. eric and burt, the owners, are SO knowledgeable about everything from tarot, to candles, to every single crystal they sell. they’re very kind and willing to answer any questions and help you find everything you need

I met with Joan Jacquline in 2012 – about 18 years ago. I recorded the reading on my phone so I could refer to it over time. She was spot on! I am amazed at how accurate her reading was. I know there are still a few things she mentioned that haven’t happened yet (grandchildren, etc…) but the rest was completely accurate. I was a little nervous going in to see her but she put me at ease and was very welcoming. Joan is really laid back but laser focused on the information she gives you during the reading. My dad passed about 2 years ago, so am thinking of scheduling readings for both my mom and myself. I lost my mother-in-law prior to my first reading and it really helped give me peace. I have had readings by other psychics and they were great, but Joan gave me the most accurate information which made me feel good about my past and optimistic about my future.One other thing – some people have mentioned to me that you shouldn’t dip your toes into the spiritual world or negative energy and experiences will take over and/or God won’t like it. This is a fear based religious belief that is taught in certain religions. My belief is that connecting with the spirit world (by reputable psychics like Joan) makes me MORE spiritual. Demons will not possess you, or no one would go to a psychic. Just a thought….

Nice woman however she’s not really a psychic. She tells you things that are going on in your life now – which of course you already know because you’re the one living the life. I think they call this an intuitive person. Not worth $90 for 35 minutes, especially since she doesn’t forecast future events which is what most people think a psychic does. Plus, she got some things wrong in my life and was a little abrupt when I told her my age, and it couldn’t happen, her reply was ‘I didn’t realize you were that old’. $90 was too much money for me to waste on this type of reading.

I had the pleasure of receiving a reading from Joan. She has so much experience with readings over many years. Joan now practices readings out of her home instead of a store front. She is very inviting upon meeting her. I was very unsure or what to expect out of my reading. I have had a few readings over the years, but none compared to the reading I had with Joan. Joan uses a simple deck of cards, no tarot cards were used during my reading. Basically you ask a general question and pick your cards out. Joan reads the cards back to you based on what cards you drew from the deck. I asked general questions like career, relationship and health. Then Joan did a few other readings. The whole thing lasted just a little over a half hour. She was able to accurately read things about myself that were very true. I didn’t give her much information and answered almost all things with a yes or head nod. She lets you record your reading. I left feeling satisfied with the information I was given. Joan is also very familiar with crystals and sage burning if you have interest in those aspects.

My reading was on May 4th. I called Michelle on the phone midday, she had availability to give me a reading at that time. Michelle called me back after setting up, immediately told me about a deceased man around me that hasn’t fully transitioned. We focused on that during the call, she was able to deliver lots of information. Her style of reading is with tarot cards. It definitely was worth it and exactly what I needed. Thank you Michelle!

I always do a lot of research before consulting a new psychic. I gave Michelle two stars because she was a very nice person, had good energy, and wasn’t afraid to go a little over time to recap, but I left feeling unsure about my reading. She was accurate sometimes and she made quite a few generalizations. In order to blow me away, you need to mention little details that no one else knows about me. She was inaccurate a few times which is why I would be hesitant to schedule another appointment. Michelle allows you to record the reading which is really helpful, however, after reviewing the recording several times, I realized there were moments when I was stretching to validate something that wasn’t really true. I think the flow could have been improved a little as well. A lot of my reading consisted of question/answer format. I’m very glad that she answered all of my questions, but sometimes the reading would hit a temporary stand still if I ran out of them.

I just got back from a reading with Fatima. I had looked around on the internet for local psychics to visit while i’m in the state, and we decided to go see her. Upon sitting down for my tarot, she did a circular tarot reading for three months into the future, as well as my past and my personality. I don’t want to go into specifics too much, since that’s kind of personal, but she basically told me that depression doesn’t exist, and that I need to tell myself that I’m not depressed. I felt that this was offensive, since I’ve been struggling with my mental health since a very young age. She said that I don’t do drugs or smoke pot, and gave very general tips for the next few months, like, “don’t leave your purse unattended, because someone will steal it”. Umm… yeah. Obviously. She was right about a few things; she described some aspects of my personality correctly, as well as my career of choice and my hobbies. I don’t know what parts of the future were correct, since I just got back, but they do seem plausible. The last twenty minutes were kind of silly, since she just asked us about wifi and whether she should get a Roku or not. We really wanted to leave.All in all, should you see Fatima? She’s a nice woman, and she has good intentions, and I do believe that she is gifted in psychic readings… but her delivery was problematic and her focus was weird.
